Dr Ashkan’s clinical practice covers the full spectrum of vascular surgery, although he has a special interest in treating varicose veins, diabetic foot, chronic wounds, and vascular and endovascular procedures. He is not only specialized in conventional surgical techniques, but also in non-invasive and laser procedures.

Varicose veins are not only the bulgy, twisted colorless veins in the lower leg, but also the tiny red, dark purple or bluish-green strips.

The blood circulation starts from the heart, runs through the body in the arteries and returns to the heart through the veins. The veins in the legs are a one-way road, controlling the return of blood to the heart by small valves and using gravity to prevent the return of blood to the foot.
